Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA)
This program provides weekly benefit payments for self-employed people, independent contractors, and others who are not eligible for regular unemployment benefits.
The state of Minnesota has started paying PUA benefits to self-employed people and independent contractors.
Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC)
This program pays $600 a week in additional payments for people receiving PUA.
