Celebrate Arbor Day at the Northland Arboretum on Saturday, April 30, at a free event for the entire family. Hike and win prizes, interact with native and exotic animals, join a scavenger hunt, plant a vegetable or flower, paint rocks or have your face painted, catch bugs, and learn about bees, loons, falcons, and making syrup. Hikes begin at 10 a.m. near the 7th Street Entrance, activities begin at 11 a.m. Ample parking will be available in the V.A. Clinic lot. Thanks to Cuyuna Regional Medical Center, Mike’s Tree Service, Essentia, and Bernick’s, the event is free for the community.
