The Brainerd Lakes Chamber and Cub Foods are excited to present the 4th Lakes Proud Small Business of the Year Award to Kavanaugh’s Sylvan Lake Resort!

This year’s Celebration of Excellence theme is ‘Team Up’ and the family of Kavanaugh’s Sylvan Lake Resort are true examples of the definition for the word team: A team is a group of individuals working together to achieve their goal. Team members help one another, help other team members realize their true potential and create an environment that allows everyone to go beyond their limitations. Kavanaugh’s Sylvan Lake Resort has been a family owned and operated resort since 1969. The four Kavanaugh brothers, John, Mark, Dave and Tom, work together daily to ensure business excellence and service to their guests.

Their business plan has evolved over time due to the change in economy and providing for their guests, but they have stayed true to their origins of family serving families with 29 Kavanaugh family members working at the resort over the decades. Hear their inspiring story and help us to celebrate their many accomplishments during our Celebration of Excellence on November 17 at Cragun’s Resort!
