Experienced, hard-working, thoughtful
Continue to set the conditions for successful businesses. We do that by minimizing red tape, unwarranted regulations and taxes. Ensure our education system, both K12 and post high school provide a quality education that is focused on the jobs and opportunities here in our communities in rural Minnesota.
My door is always open. When business related issues come up I do not hesitate to reach out to local business leaders for council to learn how we in rural Minnesota may be impacted. I do that through direct conversations with local business owners, chambers of commerce and business associations.
During 2019-2020 we "common sense conservatives" held the line on a persistent effort to raise taxes and actually passed a state income tax rate reduction. We changed state law to force Gov. Walz to again allow 16-17 year old's to work at local businesses like Paul Bunyan Land.
I have the experience and proven leadership ability to overcome the many challenges we face going forward. We must defeat the current pandemic, we do that by working together - not with business crushing shut downs. We support our local law enforcement professionals - we don't disrespect and defund them.
Small businesses are the economic soul of our state’s future. Without immediate action, many will be lost. This is not simply a personal loss for business owners, this is a loss to the employees, their communities, the local governments and the state in terms of commercial and economic activity.
I will collaborate with the local Chamber of Commerce' to assure all the local businesses my District are being heard at the State level.
Less regulation, a better tax climate, improved health care options for employers and employees.
I'm passionate about representing our district and about inspiring others like me-those who care, but have been invisible or quiet-to step up, get involved and support one another. I'm running because I believe it's never too late to speak up and work hard for the things you value.
