Conservative, Experienced, Respectful

Taxes, regulations and COVID recovery. I am committed to keeping our taxes as low as possible while still providing the necessary services, to minimize unnecessary regulations, and assisting area businesses with COVID recovery. We are currently offering businesses up to $10,000 for those that were required to close.

Being active in the community is key to understanding the issues we all face. Participating in local events is an important way to do this. I ask questions and listen well. No one excepts to get everything they want but everyone deserves to be heard and respected.

8 consecutive years of property tax levy reductions. Rewrote Zoning Ordinance, cut page count by a third. Reorganized into business units organized around the customer. Improved customer service standards, especially in the Planning and Zoning area. Even so, we should never be satisfied as there is always room to improve.

None of us have experienced any time like we are now. The impacts on our community are huge and things change daily. Experience is what is needed right now. I’ve been humbled to serve as your Commissioner for 13 years and ask for your continued support.

Liberty Minded Constitutionalist

Work on finding ways to increase the job market by actively seeking labor and manufacturing jobs, while decreasing the dependency on the hospitality and service industry.

The same way I will with the citizen, by utilizing social media, actively explaining what the real costs and ROI are for any and all actions and proposals facing the county and it's businesses, and actively seeking their input from the business standpoint.

Centering on outdoor activity has been the county's strongest attribute, but I would seek to court more outdoor industry to the area, such as bike, canoe, and motorsports manufacturing.

Because I don't come from a political background. I approach things from a common sense and reasoned angle, putting individual liberty and less intrusive government first and foremost in any decision.
